chill out, digangi

[think kit. day fourteen.]

INDIANAPOLIS — “You need to chill out.”

I have trouble relaxing. Multitasking and I are frenemies. As I write, I’m watching old episodes of “Saturday Night Live” and intermittently carrying on a conversation with Matt.

A few weeks ago, a friend from the Speak Easy asked me if I ever just hang out and the couch and watch movies.

Rarely.

She recommended I watch “Monsters University” and get over my desire to work constantly.

That was roughly two weeks ago, and it hasn’t happened yet, but I think about that advice a lot. I really do need to relax and enjoy a night on the couch with Matt, Marvin and a movie.

Coincidentally, I own “Monsters University” and have a couch, husband and dog. Perfect. I shall partake, eventually.

[Think Kit Dec. 14 prompt: Did you get any good advice or learn a valuable lesson this year? Was it expected or unexpected, easy or tough? Share what you learned.]

Update: Mission accomplished, Jan. 19.
