[think kit. day eighteen.]
SAN FRANCISCO — You know what feels terrible? Lying in bed, trying to think of the nice things you did for someone that day and having nothing come to mind.
I don’t think I did any good deed or exceptionally kind acts today.
Let’s see, I stuck my arm between closing elevator doors so someone else could make it in. I’m pretty sure I said please and thank you when I was supposed to. I smiled a lot.
That’s all I got. Granted, I didn’t open my Think Kit email until now, rather than first thing in the morning, so I wasn’t looking for opportunities to be a Good Samaritan. Still, it would have been nice to open that email, ponder for a moment and say “Ah, yes! I shall write about that time today when I was supremely generous and wonderfully helpful.”
So here we are. I’ll have to be super duper nice tomorrow.
